Remote work and income

Article 31-A requires work or service evidence, tax residence and average income over the last three months of at least four minimum remunerations. For 2026, four times €920 gives €3,680 monthly using the mainland reference. Confirm the scope with your consulate.

Temporary stay or residence

Do not use permit duration to describe visa validity. AIMA describes an initial two-year authorisation and three-year renewals for this route. This comes from indexed official text; recovering the full page remains pending. Temporary stay requires a separate checklist.

Prepare the consular application

Connect employment or services with three months of income and tax-residence evidence. Ask your competent consulate for passport, criminal-record, accommodation, cover and formality requirements. Prefer cancellable bookings until the pathway is clear; we do not give a typical approval timeline.

Taxes and tax residence

Article 16 considers more than 183 days in a twelve-month period beginning or ending in the year, and a home intended as habitual residence in shorter-stay cases. Check residence start and end rules, your work and the other-country treaty.
